A Welcoming Environment
Scott Strumar took over Lemon & Oil Deli & Catering in August 2022 replacing his great friend Neil. After 30-plus years in the corporate food service space, it was time for Scott to put his talents and heart into something small, intimate and something he could call his own.
Neil set the tone for the most welcoming environment with sincere, friendly staff, and we carry on that tradition. Being welcomed by loyal guests who have continued to stop in for lunch has been a blessing. Building relationships with you is our mission.
Lemon & Oil Deli & Catering is an active part of the community, involved in various efforts to support family and neighbors alike. One of Scott’s sayings is: “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!”
With that in mind, keeping the Lemon and Oil way is key, while striving to be creative with specials and soups. This was a dream for Scott and his late wife Jessie, who lost a 10-year battle with breast cancer this past March.
She wasn’t physically here to see it happen, but her spirit is the driving factor in loving what you do and living every day to its fullest!

Freshness
To ensure quality and freshness, you need to utilize fresh products on a daily basis. We do this by regular product deliveries and preparing our offerings daily. We make what we need and start fresh the next day.
This is a key reason why we ask for advanced notice on our larger orders to ensure we have enough products made to fulfill your needs. We sometimes re-utilize our ingredients for new and exciting items. This allows you to try new things while ensuring the freshness of our ingredients in multiple uses.
Community
Our community is not limited by town lines, but spread to wherever our relationships extend. We thrive on building relationships with everyone who walks in our doors. Your reviews help bring others into our store, and for that, we thank you for allowing us to be a part of your community.
We keep an active part in our community in other ways as well, whether it’s sponsoring events or teams, or providing lunch for our local teachers on Fridays. We wouldn’t be where we are today without your support.
